alright today lets discuss the attack on titan ending The thing I don’t understand is why everyone is all Eren Jeager’s actions are so despicable in season 4 he was the hero the protagonist blah blah blah blah blah blah. What you really you didn’t see it coming
Eren Jeager is the kind of character consumed with hate he is cut from the same cloth as Sasuke from Naruto or Lelouch from the Code Geass series in fact I argue Eren knew he was going to his death in the end in my opinion I think Eren sacrificed himself when he committed his unspeakable evil act AKA the rumbling and I think he knew exactly what was going to happen.
By doing what he did he made himself the enemy of the world. Marli and Paradi were no longer at each other’s throats now both nations had to work together in order to stop Eren.
No different to when Lelouch took over the world as Emperor of Britannia he did all those evil things and became the enemy of the world before having Suzaku assassinate him therefore bringing peace to the world by having the worlds hatred focused on him.
Eren Jaeger did the pretty much the exact same thing made the whole world despise and want him dead even the very people he fought to defend knowing full well this sacrifice Eren made would lead to peace. Sorry Eren haters fact was a hateful character all show he hated the Titans until he learnt what they were. Then his hatred switched to Marli the nation who sent these Titans after his home on Paradise Island.
Are ultimately responsible for his mothers death ultimately yeah Eren wasn’t going to forget that and he would have done this anyway. After all the whole point in Eren becoming a Titan in the first place was so he would use the Rumbling all because the Royal family was never going to do anything about it no matter how much Eren’s father begged them to do it. Really Eren had no choice to use the rumbling just as his dad had no choice but to wipe out Historia’s family.
